I've been messing around with Linux for some time now, and was pleasantly suprised when RedHat 7.1 automatically installed with everything seeming to work - detected my vid card, nic, sound card, etc ...
I use a Hauppage WinTV-GO! card with Linux and its easier to setup than in Windows 2000 (im serious with this, modprobe bttv and xawtv on and it works). I just use it for watching TV the normal way ...
