The body of a teenager was found inside a burned-out building following an explosion and fire at a Bell Gardens apartment complex.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department described Tuesday's deadly explosion at a Bell Gardens apartment complex as a "tragic accident" caused by homemade explosives, possibly fireworks.

Officials said the explosion may have been caused by homemade explosives.
