The black T-shirts read “Stand with Minnesota” and are meant to be a gesture of support and call for unity across the state in the wake of the Minneapolis shooting deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by federal agents.
As the Timberwolves ran out onto the Target Center floor for pre-game warmups ahead of Thursday’s win over the Thunder, they all did so sporting black warm-up shirts that read “Stand with Minnesota” in response to this month’s tragic losses of Renée Good and Alex Pretti, who were both shot to death by federal immigration officers.
The Wolves are showing their support for Minnesota during a difficult time in the state.
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves meet Thursday at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET.
