The CDC is working to figure out what's behind a rise in a type of parasitic infection whose biggest symptom is "explosive" diarrhea.

A parasitic illness called Cyclospora has been reported in 17 states, including Texas.

According to the CDC, those infected may or may not experience symptoms, which usually cause watery diarrhea with “frequent and sometimes explosive” bowel movements.
