I’ve seen this kind of bear behavior in person before, but I’ve never caught it on camera. My remote cam caught this amazing sequence. This is worth watching to the end with the sound on. Mom senses what I think is another bear nearby off camera to the right. She tells her cub to get up the tree ASAP—turn up the sound to hear what that sounds like. She stands up to get a better view of what’s out there, and then she charges whatever it is. She comes back and tells her cub the coast is clear. The
